Approach to Teaching

Philosophy

I am a strong believer in the principle that lectures should be about inspiration, so that the students leave the lecture theatre or classroom motivated to read up about and explore the topic discussed. I am also an advocate of problem-based learning and peer assessment.

Practice

The course that I most experience with is Computing Theory. For those supporting a version of this course, there is a Computing Theory support page (email me for the password). The assessment process used will be further described here shortly. For the moment, you can access the peer and self assessment guidelines.
